Why we collect it

Your email address and postcode are used solely to send you the fuel price alert emails you requested. We do not use this information for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

IP addresses are retained in server logs for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and diagnosing technical issues.

Legal basis for processing

For price alerts, we process your data on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any alert email.

For server logs (IP address), we rely on our legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in maintaining the security and proper operation of the service.

How long we keep your data

• Price alert data (email and postcode): kept until you unsubscribe. On unsubscription, your data is deleted within 30 days.
• Server logs (IP address): retained for 30 days and then deleted automatically.

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Erasure: request that we delete your personal data.
• Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

• GOV.UK Fuel Finder: we read publicly available fuel price data from this government service. We do not send any personal data to it.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
