What fuel.co.uk does
fuel.co.uk shows you the live petrol and diesel prices at every forecourt near your postcode, updated every 30 minutes. You can search by postcode, filter by fuel grade, and set price-drop alerts so you never fill up at the wrong moment.
The tool is free. There are no paywalls, no registration requirements for the price search, and no advertising clutter. Our aim is to be the fastest, cleanest, and most accurate fuel-price tool in the UK.
Where the data comes from
Prices are sourced from official UK government fuel-price data, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. The UK government's statutory scheme requires forecourt operators to report any price change within 30 minutes, which means the data reflects real, current prices rather than estimates.
We ingest this data automatically every 30 minutes. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
We do not rely on crowdsourced reports or third-party commercial data feeds. The government source is the most accurate and most complete source of UK forecourt pricing available.

William is chief executive of New Reg Limited, the company behind Car.co.uk, Trader.co.uk and Garage.co.uk. He joined in December 2022 after seven years at Recycling Lives in Preston, where he rose from managing director to chief executive and the business earned three Queen's Awards for Enterprise. He was appointed MBE in 2023 for services to disadvantaged communities, and in 2026 he led Car.co.uk to a King's Award for Enterprise.
