The Group
A motoring group built to help UK drivers
The New Reg Group has operated in the UK motoring market since 1996. Today it runs a family of complementary platforms, each built to solve a specific problem that makes car ownership harder or more expensive than it needs to be.

Our platforms
Car.co.uk
Sell your car directly, without the haggling.
The problem it solves
Selling a car privately means weeks of adverts, tyre-kickers, negotiation and payment risk, while part-exchange deals rarely reflect what the car is really worth.
How it solves it
Car.co.uk buys cars directly from the people who own them. Owners get a guaranteed price with an instant online valuation, free collection and same-day payment, with none of the wait and haggling of a private sale.

NewReg.co.uk
The original number plate marketplace.
The problem it solves
Finding the right personalised plate is a needle-in-a-haystack problem. Buyers want to search by name, phrase, number, or style, and they want to know instantly whether a plate can go on their vehicle.
How it solves it
NewReg.co.uk has been doing this since 1996. It combines a powerful search engine with the deepest inventory of plates at every price point, from affordable dateless registrations to premium cherished marks. Staff are on hand for guidance, and every sale is backed by the DVLA-registered transfer service the group has operated for nearly three decades.
Garage.co.uk
Find a trusted local garage.
The problem it solves
Finding a reliable mechanic is one of the most stressful parts of car ownership. Drivers are often unsure whether a quote is fair, whether a garage is qualified, or whether the recommended work is actually necessary.
How it solves it
Garage.co.uk gives drivers a free, independent way to find vetted local garages and read real reviews. It integrates official MOT history and DVLA vehicle data so you can see your car's service record before you book. The platform also surfaces recall information, helping drivers stay on top of safety issues they may not know about.
Trader.co.uk
Buying and selling vehicles, without the friction.
The problem it solves
Private vehicle sales are often slow, risky, and opaque. Sellers struggle to price fairly; buyers cannot easily verify a vehicle's history; and both sides face the friction of payments and paperwork.
How it solves it
Trader.co.uk is built for the UK private market. It connects buyers and sellers with clear vehicle history checks, fair pricing guidance, and a straightforward listing experience. The goal is a used-car transaction that feels as safe and simple as buying anything else online.
fuel.co.uk
You are hereLive UK fuel prices. Free. Always accurate.
The problem it solves
Fuel is one of the biggest running costs of car ownership, yet most drivers have no idea whether the forecourt they use is cheap or expensive relative to those nearby. Price differences of 5p or more per litre are common within a mile or two.
How it solves it
fuel.co.uk pulls live prices from every UK forecourt every 30 minutes using official government open data, and shows you exactly where to fill up to pay the least. Search by postcode, filter by grade, set a price-drop alert, or use the cost calculator to work out what fuel is actually costing you each week. No registration required. No ads. Just the data.
CarFaultCodes.co.uk
Warning lights and fault codes, in plain English.
The problem it solves
A dashboard warning light or an OBD fault code tells most drivers almost nothing, which makes it easy to panic, ignore a real problem, or get talked into work the car does not need.
How it solves it
CarFaultCodes.co.uk turns a baffling warning light or fault code into a plain-English explanation of what is actually wrong, how urgent it is, and what to do next, so drivers walk into the garage informed.
VanSold.co.uk
Sell your van with a fair offer in seconds.
The problem it solves
Selling a van carries all the friction of a private car sale with a smaller pool of buyers, so owners often wait weeks or accept a poor trade-in price just to move on.
How it solves it
VanSold.co.uk buys vans directly from the people who own them, with a fair offer in seconds and no haggling, bringing the same direct-purchase model as Car.co.uk to the van market.
Driver.co.uk
The independent home for UK drivers. Coming soon.
The problem it solves
Motoring advice, tools and services are scattered across dozens of sites, each covering one slice of the driving experience.
How it solves it
Driver.co.uk is on the way: an independent home for UK drivers that brings the group's tools and know-how together in one place. The full story will appear here once it opens.

Promo.co.uk
Automotive news and insight, powered by AI.
The problem it solves
UK drivers and industry professionals need timely, accurate, relevant motoring news, yet most automotive media is slow, generic, or buried under advertising. Good insight about fuel prices, recalls, regulations, and market moves is hard to surface quickly.
How it solves it
Promo.co.uk is the group's editorial platform: an AI-powered newsroom that monitors official sources, industry signals, and government data to surface the stories that matter to UK motorists and trade professionals. Every article is verified against official data before publication and is available free without a paywall.
